EXCURSIÓN AL TEATRO

Hola amigos de Unionville. Después de un largo periodo sin escribir, queríamos compartir con vosotros la última excursión que hicimos al teatro los niños de 2º para ver la obra "La ciudad de los cuentos". Espero que os gusten las fotos.

Aquí nos tenéis a algunos de nosotros apunto de entrar al teatro. ¡Qué nervios!

Menos mal que tuvimos un rato para tomar nuestro desayuno antes de pasar...

La obra de teatro nos sirve para conocer cuentos de los hermanos Grimm. Aquí nos sacaron para ayudar a representar el cuento de "Los músicos de Bremen". Por supuesto, toda la obra fue en inglés pero lo entendimos muy bien. Y es que ya estamos cerca de pasar a tercer curso.

Como podéis ver, voluntarios no faltaban.

Aquí estamos ayudando a representar Caperucita Roja. Observad cómo el lobo quiere engañar a la abuelita para comérsela.

Ya sabéis que al final vino un leñador para rescatarnos y prestarnos ayuda. Al final entre todos pudimos con el malvado lobo.

Esperamos que os haya gustado. Os echamos de menos y nos gustaría saber de vosotros pronto. Un abrazo muy fuerte desde Madrid.

Veteran's day in the USA!!

Hello from Unionville!

We are very happy to see all of you dressed up for Halloween, you all look awesome!

This week we have celebrated "Veteran's Day", so we didn't have School on Wednesday. At School we learnt the importance of remembering all the soldiers, sailors and airmen that have lost their life to make our countries a safer place to life. We also learnt that the UK celebrate Veteran's Day too but that they call it "Remembrance Sunday" which takes place on the Sunday closest to 11th November.

We are also starting to gather things together for one of our most loved and important celebrations in the USA "THANKSGIVING". This year we are disguising our own turkeys, Why? because Turkey is what most of the people will eat for this occasion! So check out our "No Turkeys" Display!

 There are no Turkeys here, as you can see we have a snowman, a bride, Mickey Mouse, a policeman even the Old Lady who swallowed a Fly!!

We will keep you posted with all the exciting things that are coming our way...............

HALLOWEEN IN SPAIN!

Hola chicos de Unionville. Nosotros también celebramos Halloween. Primero decoramos los pasillos del colegio.

Los padres también nos ayudaron. ¡Y lo hicieron genial!

Llevamos nuestro disfraz todo el día.

¿Y sabéis qué? Por la tarde actuamos para los más pequeños del cole cantando una canción en inglés. Fue un día genial. 

Estamos muy contentos de que nos enviéis las cosas que hacéis en vuestro colegio. ¡Nos gustaría volver a ver fotos vuestras pronto! Un abrazo desde Madrid

Hello! from Unionville Elementary, during the past week we have been working on shapes and we used the inspiration of Joan Miro to create our pictures. 

....and this week we have been learning about "El dia de los Muertos" we also compared and contrasted this celebration with Halloween.
